moonshot_websiteNoetic is partnering with Ohio State University and the American Psychological Association as part of the White House’s Cancer Moonshot Program. The partnership will see Noetic lead the development of a mental health intervention program that supports patients and their families mitigate the traumatic effects of a cancer diagnosis.

Noetic’s partnership will draw on psychological experts from Ohio State University and the America Psychological Association to develop resilience strategies for responding to a cancer diagnosis, training medical personnel to screen patients for resilience treatment, providing a resilience program and resources for family members and creating a support program for medical staff to maintain their mental wellbeing.

The partnership is one of many industry led initiatives that was announced  by US Vice President Joe Biden this week. The announcement also included the findings of the Cancer Moonshot Taskforce, which was formed in January 2016 to identify a strategy for improving cancer research and treatment.
