The Future of NFP Leadership: How to keep your head when everyone else is losing theirs

Noetic Group brought together Canberra region not-for-profit (NFP) leaders for a roundtable discussion led by Chris Gardiner from The Institute for Civic Leadership on the 2nd September 2015. The aim of the roundtable discussion was to learn about how values based organisations are responding to the move to market based services and changing community and government expectations.

ACNC ‘Australia’s Faith-based Charities’

ACNC have released a report on Australia’s Faith-based Charities in conjunction with Curtin University. 1 in 3 reporting charities included the advancement of religion as one of their charitable purposes. In comparison with charities with other purposes, faith-based charities are smaller, with nearly three quarters classified as Small (annual revenue of less than $250,000) and only 12% as Large (annual revenue $1m or over).

The report highlights the diversity of Faith-based charities and the services they provide, as well as their unique make up with a proportionately larger number of volunteers than employees than other charities.
